Sailing from Port Canaveral
Port Canaveral exists commercially because Orlando is fifty minutes inland. The cruise-plus-theme-parks two-week trip is the single most common reason people sail from here, and the port, the lines and the hotels are all built around it.
That shapes the itineraries. Sailings from Canaveral are overwhelmingly three, four and seven nights to the Bahamas and the Caribbean, lengths that bolt onto a park week without turning the trip into a month.
Two spellings, one port. Some feeds file this as Orlando (Port Canaveral)
and others as Port Canaveral. They are the same terminals; the count on this
page covers both.
Stay on the coast, not in Orlando. Cocoa Beach is ten minutes from the pier and a good deal cheaper than a park hotel. If you are doing parks first and cruise second, move to the coast the night before you sail.
Check the launch schedule. Kennedy Space Center is next door and launches are frequent. Watching one from the top deck as you sail is not something the brochure promises, but it happens, and the schedule is public.
