Resilient Lady has the strangest history of the four Ladies and the least interesting deployment, and the gap between the two is the thing worth knowing about her. Her keel went down at Sestri Ponente on April 27, 2017 (six months before Scarlet Lady’s, making her the first of the class to be laid down and the third to be delivered), and she was not completed until December 8, 2022. Her maiden voyage left Athens on May 14, 2023.
What happened next was the most adventurous thing Virgin has done. In late 2023 she crossed to the southern hemisphere for a season in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, running into early 2024 and calling at Fremantle for the first time that April; she then sailed north for the line’s first UK season, out of Portsmouth, in the summer of 2024. No other Virgin ship has been below the equator or based in Britain.
She is now, on the schedule the site is selling, a Miami ship, more thoroughly than any of her sisters is anything.
Where she actually sails
Miami is the overwhelming majority of her year, a higher concentration than any of her sisters carries anywhere, and she works it without a season off: the Caribbean program runs straight through the summers rather than pausing for one.
What is worth knowing about that year is the length, not just the ocean. Valiant Lady’s Florida block is short weeks and almost nothing else; Resilient Lady splits hers roughly down the middle. The short half is Key West & Bimini Beach Club at four nights, with Grand Turk & Bimini Beach Club and Dominican Republic & Bimini Beach Club at five. The long half is Eastern Caribbean & Bimini Beach Club and Western Caribbean & Bimini Beach Club, both at six to eight nights, and they are the reason to look at her rather than at a sister selling the same long weekend.
The port list follows from that split. Miami on both ends of nearly every week, and Virgin’s own Beach Club at Bimini behind it; she calls there on very nearly every Caribbean sailing she runs. The eastern weeks then reach Puerto Plata and Samaná in the Dominican Republic, San Juan, Grand Turk and Philipsburg, with St. Croix and Tortola on the odd one. The western weeks reach George Town and Ocho Rios most, and the longer versions carry on to Roatán, Belize City, Costa Maya and Cozumel. Key West and Nassau fill the short runs at either end.
The exception is a Mediterranean summer, and there is exactly one of it: May to October 2027. Barcelona round trips at seven to eleven nights on French Riviera, Spain & Ibiza Overnight, Italy, French Riviera & Spain, French Riviera & Italy and a ten-night Italy, French Riviera, Spain & Malta, calling at Ibiza, Cannes, Civitavecchia, Palma, Valencia, Marseille, Toulon, Ajaccio and Catania. A pair of Barcelona-Athens one-ways in June is the only Greece on her calendar. And one sailing is worth singling out: the eleven-night Solar Eclipse: Spain, Portugal, Morocco, leaving Barcelona on July 28, 2027 and positioned for the total eclipse that crosses southern Spain and North Africa on August 2. Transatlantic crossings at fourteen nights bracket the season, Miami to Morocco & Spain out, Spain to Miami Halloween back.
Either side of that one summer the year is Miami end to end. There is no Mediterranean at all on her 2028 calendar.
What she is like aboard
Identical to the other three, which on a four-night sailing is more of an argument than it sounds. There is no buffet, around twenty sit-down restaurants instead, all of them included, booked like restaurants ashore rather than assigned. Gratuities, wi-fi and group fitness classes are in the fare. Cabins go Insider, Sea View, Sea Terrace and RockStar Suites, the top tier clustered as RockStar Quarters, and the Sea Terrace balconies have the red hammock. There is a running track on deck, Redemption Spa with its mud and salt rooms, The Manor as a nightclub and Richard’s Rooftop for suite guests. Nobody under eighteen is aboard.
Who she suits
People trying Virgin for the first time, and people who want a long weekend at sea without children on it. A four-night Key West and Bimini run out of Miami is the cheapest way into this line and the lowest-commitment way to find out whether the no-buffet, no-formal-night, book-your-own-dinner format is one you like. Drive-to from most of Florida, no assigned seating to negotiate, and a fare that does not grow at the end of the week.
She is the wrong ship for anyone who wants to see somewhere on a short sailing. The four- and five-night runs are Bimini and one other stop, over and over, and two of those days are ports while one is the sea; if the ports are the point, take one of her six- to eight-night Eastern or Western weeks and pay for the extra nights. Anyone booking her because of the Australia season or the Portsmouth summer should understand those are history, not a preview; the ship that did them is working Florida now, and apart from a single Mediterranean summer nothing on this schedule leaves the Atlantic. If you want the Mediterranean from Virgin, 2027 is the only window here, and Scarlet Lady has far more of it, every year, in Greece.
