The Island Princess cruise ship is docked in calm blue water near a port. The large white vessel features rows of cabin balconies, bright orange lifeboats, and strings of colorful flags draped across its upper decks under a hazy sky.

Island Princess

The Panamax sister who lost a theater to gain a hundred and twenty-one cabins

Aboard

  • One of only two Princess ships narrow enough for the original Panama Canal locks
  • The 2015 refit added 121 staterooms and cost her the Universe Lounge
  • 1,195 tons heavier than her sister as a result, and 210 guests larger
  • The dummy turbines came off her funnel in the same refit
  • Christened by Jamie Salé and David Pelletier, Olympic pairs skaters
  • A Panama Canal regular, more so than almost any ship here
